Exterra Termite Interception and Baiting System

HOW THE EXTERRA SYSTEM WORKS

Step 1 – Ground Installation
We install the Exterra in-ground stations on your property where we know termites will be found. The Exterra in-ground Stations contain the termites preferred food source, eucalypt timber interceptors.

Step 2 – Under Concrete
A special EXTERRA In-concrete Station is used where the property is primarily surrounded by concrete. The EXTERRA in-concrete station has a stainless steel cap that seals flush with the pathway or other concrete surface.

Step 3 – Internal Stations
If termites have already entered your home, then EXTERRA above-ground Stations are the preferred solution. We place REQUIEM Termite Bait in the 100% safe & sealed Station once it is installed. Our EXTERRA above-ground Stations speed up the process of colony elimination and after the termite colony is eliminated, these Stations are removed.

Step 4 – On Interception
The patented design of the EXTERRA Station allows termites to be detected and seen without being disturbed. The termites are also completely undisturbed when the REQUIEM Termite Bait is added.

Step 5 – REQUIEM Termite Bait
REQUIEM Termite Bait (100% non-toxic to you and your pets) is added, without disturbing the termites, to achieve a quick and consistent outcome. Because REQUIEM is highly palatable to termites, they readily consume it in preference to timber. EXTERRA studies show that once termites start feeding on REQUIEM, they then stop feeding on the timbers in your home.

Step 6 – The Demise of the colony
Once the termites have fed on the REQUIEM, they carry it back to the colony where it is then slowly distributed throughout the entire colony. Because the colony then dies gradually, the termites do not associate the colony’s demise with the consumption of REQUIEM, which ensures that the entire colony is exterminated.

Step 7 – The colony is eliminated
Once the colony is eliminated, any remaining REQUIEM is removed. In-ground Stations are refilled with new timber interceptors and the above-ground Stations are removed altogether. Your EXTERRA System continues to work on an ongoing basis with ‘Peace of Mind’ monitoring, baiting and eliminating, to protect you against the constant threat from either new termite colonies or other established colonies.
